Sheff G and 22Gz cement the Flatbush sound
Where Pop Smoke and Fivio represented Canarsie and Brownsville, Sheff G and 22Gz held it down for Flatbush. The Flatbush production sat slightly different — less slide, more straight 808s — and the dance scene there evolved its own footwork. Less rock, more pivot. By mid-2020 the scene had two regional dialects of the same language. Every Brooklyn dancer learned to flip between them.
