Rock Steady Crew's first international tour
1983 was the year Rock Steady Crew moved from the South Bronx and Manhattan dance floors onto European stages. The Roxy in London, festival dates in Paris and Tokyo. Combined with the release of Wild Style the same year, the year reads as the moment breaking stopped being a New York-only practice and became a worldwide form. Crazy Legs led the touring lineup. The kids who saw those shows started crews. A generation of European b-boys traces their start to that tour calendar.
